" ...I want to share my experience of the Internet and technology worlds with people that could do so much more with it but don’t have the connection, interest and/or knowledge of it.

Because I believe that the Change necessary to achieve a more balanced and prosperous world is by giving all kind of support to those people who don’t have the background but have the energy, power and vision to change their own world.

So, to all those artists, small businesses and entrepreneurs that want to help themselves in opening more doors and connections, I’d like to offer a hand through Cosma to help you take your first step online. "

I've tried to find great music to listen to during the day at work that is not too distracting, but still engaging, and these are the two stations we flip between during a typical work day:     SomaFM - http://somafm.com/lush/ - We listen mostly to "Lush" on SomaFM Radio Paradise - http://www.radioparadise.com/ - This is usually a little more up tempo and less electronic

Change

by carola 17. January 2010 14:03
I have been thinking about "Change". Change is something that I’ve embraced since very little. Change is part of the everyday life and every decision we make. Somehow Change has become popular to the point where the whole of humanity and the planet are embracing it. It’s strange to see something you have always been very proud of, of yourself, becoming something so popular out there… I love it… "Change", you’re totally welcome to be and stay! So, my question is about what am I going to do to promote, support and continue embracing this worldwide transition we... [More]

Event Horizon

by david 23. April 2009 02:51
As web technology moves ahead, from a web developers point of view, everything appears to freeze in place. As computers become more powerful, web browsers confirm to web standards, and development frameworks standardize programming techniques, we find that we are still responsible for catering to 800x600 resolutions and dial-up connection speeds. Playing the Hologame Writen by Peggy Black The third dimension is time and space, where the physical and the non-physical intersect. So imagine you are a being of Light consciousness and you decide to enter this third dimension, this game board, this hologame, this life, which has certain rules and requirements. The first rule is you must enter the game under the veil of forgetfulness, you must enter unaware that you are a divine being of Light. Before you step into the game of third dimension you plan your strategy. You set your goals and your trials; you select the talents, strengths an... [More]

When your back is against the wall… the only way is forward!

I remember the recession in the early 90s, but it didn’t seem to affect me. Whereas, this recession is affecting everybody and if like me, you’ve been freelancing for 7 years; the good times have truly gone. I’ve been a digital project manager for over 10 years; my last full time role was at Noho Digital, one of the most creative places I’ve ever encountered. Big personalities, not afraid to speak up, and when you’re in an environment that’s passionate, there’s creativity, which leads to great work. In the good old days everyone brought somethin... Blogalicious!

by gillian 25. February 2009 03:41
I really enjoy the digital industry, the technology is always changing and I feel truly honoured to be part of such a wonderful industry. I studied Media with Cultural Studies; I chose one elective ‘Cyberspace’ which taught me about the internet and beyond. I remember thinking "Wow, I need to work within the internet; I need to pay off my student loan." And boy have things changed, but I’m still here! The biggest change for me has to be social networking sites, Blogs and any form of User Generated Content. I’m excited by blogs, because it gives the creator overa... [More]

Content Management Systems (CMS)

by david 12. February 2009 04:37
At some point, when planning a new project, you should take into consideration the wealth of open source and free applications available to you.  Often there might be a system or framework that can deliver a solution with simple customisation and graphic redesign (re-skinning). If you are thinking about a content management system, I believe there are three significant factors to consider: Features, administration and expertise. I think most of the more popular open source applications such as Drupal, Community Server or Joomla share the same essential feature set, so unless there is so... [More]
